His feet sunk into the grass until he could feel the mud soaking through his socks. In the center of the field there was a piece of wood with a sign nailed to it. The sign said: <br/><br/><i>WOW! <br/>YOU MADE IT, BABY. <br/>LAY DOWN. <br/>STAY A WHILE.</i><br/><br/>So he did. While he slept he dreamed about a being on a train that went from one side of the country all the way west, to California. When he stepped off the train there were no people. Just rabbits. Thousands of rabbits. He took a knife from his back pocket and started grabbing them by their back legs, cutting their throats, and draining their blood into a bucket.<br/><br/>When he woke, there was an elderly black man standing over him. <br/><br/>“I’m James. Welcome. This is a beautiful green field and this is your home.”<br/><br/>Adam looked up and saw the man had a scar on his face in the shape of the letter “W”.<br/><br/>Adam looked up and saw the man was wearing a kilt.<br/><br/>Adam looked up and saw the man was holding a glass of wine. <br/><br/>James held out his hand and helped Adam stand up.
